Another example of this style of weaving from South West Turkey. There is some loss to the traditional kilim ends (see the piece above), but the pile is very good and the knot size smaller than typical. Wonderful soft wool and a clear, simple colour palette.

Dobag Rug

As this is a authentic Dobag rug the quality will speak for itself. The knot count is 327,168 in total and was made in the village of Pinardere near the project centre in Ayvacik. It was woven by Gulseren Kaya in 2005.

Another authentic Dobag rug of useful size with a wonderful border. The knot count is 102,200 in total and was made near the project centre in Ayvacik, Western Turkey. It was woven by Ayten Bolel in 2005.

A vibrant Dosemealti made with hand spun wool. Although it is clearly marked 1906, we believe it was made in the 1940s, probably to commemorate a special occasion for the two people whose names can be found woven into this rug. This is a special Dosemealti.
